3 things you DON’T need to be my client ⬇️

1. A clean space

So many of my clients get self conscious of their spaces when I come over. I think it’s a misconception that because designers create / live in beautiful spaces that we pass judgement on the spaces of our clients. I want to honour my clients for choosing me to help them because they obviously respect design and themselves enough to hire me in the first place. By leaving your space in its most natural state I will be able to understand how you use the space and what areas need the most attention.

2. A fully realized style or vision

I have developed a very special questionnaire that helps me understand how you experience space + define design terminology. This helps us determine your unique style and usually acts as the catalyst for the design concept.

3. Knowledge of construction or where to start

You don’t need to know construction or where to begin. That’s my job! With my 9 years of construction experience I am able to consult clients on where to begin, how to execute the design, and support them throughout the construction process.

We did a lot in 2024 but I want to remember it by our honeymoon. This was a dream vacation for me. To be blessed enough to travel for 5 weeks with my husband exploring, eating, and enjoying each other’s company.

This trip brought me alot of time to reflect on my life and business. It reminded me why I work, but it also put into perspective what I want out of my time on earth and the energy I need to surround and fill myself with in order to achieve it.

My hope is that I can always remember what this trip brought me, and that I can always refer back to these memories for inspiration and guidance going forward.

• The gallery wall in the office is painted in @absoluteserendipityymm Benjamin Moore’s Amazon Green; A warm teal colour. The colour allows the antique gold foil on our frames to really pop off. Using organic shapes like the circular key frames, cups and saucers, and vine ornamentation also contrasts the hard edges of the adjacent rectangle frames.

• Fireplaces have always been the warm focal point of every home, but this ceramic brick tile (by @olympiatile ) and aged oak stained mantel add distinction and charm. Rugged and natural textures are certain to provide warmth to your spaces.

• Recently our dining set got a glow up at that really cozy’d it up! When pairing black steak with a warm mango wood it deepens the grain texture. What also helps is our smoked glass chandelier and Sherpa bench seat cushion.

• Lastly, our neon light is by far the warmest item in our home! Neon has always been known to be sexy lighting that blazes against dark skies, which is exactly the vibe in our home gym. A warm peachy-orange against @absoluteserendipityymm Benjamin Moore’s Witching Hour!
